The Partners

Jason Foster began his career in Baltimore in 1999, co-founding Monitor Records and releasing debuts from Battles and Cass Mccombs. In 2006, he started We Are Free Records with the release of Yeasayer's debut as well as albums by Ponytail and Indian Jewelry. Focusing fully on management, Foster added Beach House and Lower Dens alongside Yeasayer.

Jake Friedman co-founded Lovepump United Records in 2004, releasing debut albums and singles from Crystal Castles, HEALTH, Pictureplane, Deradoorian and Washed Out. With a management roster that began with Dirty Projectors, HEALTH and Wild Nothing, Friedman partnered with Jason Foster in 2011 to form the We Are Free Management team. We Are Free currently represents the artists DARKSIDE, Purity Ring, Beach House, Chairlift, Yeasayer, Wild Nothing, Lower Dens, HEALTH and Alice Glass, as well as producers Girl Talk, MNDR, Evian Christ, Boody and Hot Sugar.

Mike Sniper is an indie-music veteran—as an artist via his retired Blank Dogs moniker, an owner of several music retail shops, and as the founder of the Captured Tracks label in 2008; which has signed and developed Wild Nothing, Beach Fossils, DIIV, Mac DeMarco, The Soft Moon, Perfect Pussy and others. Such artists have been regular fixtures on Billboard charts, and the company has broken new ground in terms of LP sales; culminating in the newly formed Omnian Music Group which represents and distributes new labels alongside stalwarts like Flying Nun.
